The Mission of the Georgia
Labor Management Conference is to improve productivity and the quality
of jobs through cooperation and mutual respect.
The mission of this site is to give you information and to encourage you
to attend the NEXT GEORGIA LABOR MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE at Savannah
Marriott Riverfront.
The Georgia Labor Management
Conference is now in it's 19th year. The Conference is hosted by the
Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service and the Georgia department of
Labor. It is sponsored and supported by Labor Organizations , Business,
Academic and Government entities that believe that cooperation and
mutual respect between management and labor leads to higher
productivity, more profits and a better work force.
The Conference is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of five
Labor Representatives, five management Representatives, a
Representative of the Georgia Department of Labor, a Representative of
the Georgia State University Labor Studies Program, a Labor Law Attorney
(alternates between labor and management) and a Representative of the
Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service.
The Board Officers consist of a President, the Board Chair, the
Financial Secretary and a Recording Secretary. The position of Chair
and President rotates annually between Labor and Management.
